UK introduces new visa requirements and fees for travelers from 48 countries before entry

An Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) will be required for travel to the UK starting January 8. The ETA costs £10 and is valid for two years or until the passport expires. It was introduced to replace the Electronic Visa Waiver scheme, and it allows unlimited travel to the UK during the valid period. The European Union's ETIAS visa waiver is scheduled for rollout in 2025.
