Typhoon Shanshan approaches Japan with heavy rain and strong winds prompting evacuation and emergency warnings

Typhoon Shanshan is expected to approach southern Kyushu, Japan with extremely strong force, prompting the government to put the country on high alert. The storm is forecast to bring heavy rain and strong winds, with gusts of up to 252 kilometers per hour. Toyota has suspended production at all 14 of its factories in response to the storm.
