Twenty-two students killed in Nigerian school collapse during classes
A devastating school collapse occurred in Busa Buji community, Plateau state, northern Nigeria, resulting in the loss of multiple lives. According to reports, at least 22 children died, with many more receiving treatment for injuries in local hospitals. The incident occurred on a Friday morning when students were in class at Saints Academy in Jos, the state capital.
Initially, 154 students were trapped in the rubble, but rescue efforts led by volunteers and authorities managed to rescue 132 of them, who are being treated for their injuries.
