Turkey Suspends Trade with Israel Over Gaza Conflict
Turkey and Israel have imposed trade barriers on each other, with Turkey restricting exports of 54 types of products to Israel in response to Israel's military actions in Gaza. Israel has announced plans to ban imports from Turkey. The measures are intended to remain in place until Israel allows an uninterrupted flow of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. Turkish officials have stated that they will coordinate with Palestinian authorities to ensure that Palestinians are not affected by the trade restrictions.
Israel's foreign minister has accused Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of acting like a "dictator" and claims that he broke agreements. However, Turkey has cited the humanitarian crisis in Gaza as the reason for imposing the trade barriers. The Turkish Ministry of Trade has halted imports and exports to and from Israel, stating that the situation in Gaza is unacceptable.
