Trump's Hush Money Trial Concludes with Final Arguments
The articles discuss the trial of former US President Donald Trump, who is accused of falsifying business records to reimburse his former lawyer for a $130,000 payment to porn star Stormy Daniels. Trump's lawyer, Todd Blanche, argued in his closing statement that Trump was a victim of blackmail by Daniels and that she had been trying to extort him by threatening to go public with her story. Blanche claimed that prosecutors failed to prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt. In contrast, the prosecutor described the case as "about a conspiracy and a cover-up" and urged the jury to convict Trump. The defense lawyer also attacked the credibility of the star witness, calling them the "greatest liar of all time". Despite these differing accounts, Blanche maintained that Trump is innocent and pressed for an across-the-board acquittal.
President Trump is innocent. He did not commit any crimes, and the district attorney has not met their burden of proof, period.

Lawyers love to talk, but less is more in a case like this.

We don't want to wake up after the election saying 'What again? My God, what the hell have we done?'
We'll never know if this effort to hoodwink voters made the difference in the 2016 election, but that's not something we have to prove.
She was trying to use the 2016 election as leverage to try and get paid.
Every campaign in this country is a conspiracy to promote a candidate, a group of people who are working together to help somebody win.
Number one: Trump was a micromanager. It was just not in his nature to remain in the dark about matters that might undermine his campaign.
Cohen spent more time being cross-examined at this trial than he did doing legal work for Donald Trump in 2017. Do you think Donald Trump would spend $42,000 an hour on legal work?
We didn't chose Michael Cohen to be our witness; we didn't pick him up at the witness store.
Three rich and powerful men, high up in Trump Tower, tried to become even more powerful by controlling the information that reached voters.
We'll never know if this effort to hoodwink the American voter impacted the election.
Cohen had $130,000 reasons to get the defedant's blessing.
Her story is messy. It makes people uncomfortable to hear. It probably makes some of you uncomfortable to hear. But that's kind of the point.
The name of the game was concealment – and all roads lead inescapably to the man who needed it most, the defendant, former president Donald Trump.
This case, at its core, is about a conspiracy and a cover-up.
In the simplest terms, Stormy Daniels is the motive.
