Trump asks Supreme Court to pause law that could ban TikTok in the US

TikTok has filed a brief with the US Supreme Court arguing that a law requiring it to be banned or sold by January 19, 2025 is unconstitutional and should be blocked. The law, which was voted on by Congress in April, aims to ban the app unless its Chinese parent company, ByteDance, sells it to an American company. Donald Trump has also urged the Supreme Court to pause the implementation of this law, arguing that it would effectively ban the app in the United States on January 19, one day before his inauguration.
