Thousands evacuated as Typhoon Haikui heads for Taiwan
Typhoon Haikui is expected to make landfall in eastern Taitung area by 5pm (0900 GMT) More than 200 domestic flights cancelled and schools and offices closed. It will be the first typhoon in four years to directly hit the island.
