The Central Park Five sue Donald Trump for defamation

Five black and Latino teenagers, known as the Central Park Five, were wrongly convicted in 1990 for attacking and raping a jogger. The group, consisting of Antron McCray, Kevin Richardson, Yusef Salaam, Raymond Santana, and Korey Wise, was later exonerated. In a lawsuit filed in a federal court in Philadelphia, the men accused former US President Donald Trump of making "false and defamatory" statements about them during a presidential debate in September. The lawsuit seeks compensatory and punitive damages through a jury trial. According to the complaint, Trump falsely stated that the plaintiffs were responsible for killing the individual they were wrongly convicted of raping.
