Syrian government and Kurdish-led forces sign landmark deal to merge into state institutions
Syrian interim President Ahmad al-Sharaa and Kurdish leader Mazloum Abdi signed a deal in Damascus on March 10, which recognizes Syria's Kurdish community as "an indigenous community of the Syrian state." The agreement also calls for the integration of Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) into the country's state institutions by the end of the year.
