Supreme Court hears landmark election case seeking to kick Trump off ballot over Capitol attack
The US Supreme Court will hold a special session on Thursday to consider whether Donald Trump is ineligible to be president. In one of the most consequential cases in the history of America's highest court, the nine justices will hear arguments on whether Trump has violated the US Constitution by engaging in an insurrection. The attempt to overturn his loss to Joe Biden culminated in the deadly riot at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.
