Steve Bannon Pleads Guilty in Border Wall Funding Fraud Case

Steve Bannon, 71, pleaded guilty to one count of scheme to defraud, resulting in a three-year conditional release, which effectively avoids jail time. The charges stem from a scheme called "We Build the Wall" and allegations of money laundering and conspiracy. In addition to the conditional release, Bannon is barred from serving on a New York nonprofit for three years. Bannon's lawyer stated that he did not personally profit from the scheme.
