South Korean Woman, Choi Soon-hwa, Falls Short of Becoming Oldest Miss Universe Winner

Choi Soon-hwa, an 81-year-old South Korean fashion model, participated in the Miss Universe Korea pageant in Seoul. She won the "Best Dresser" award, but did not win the top honor, which went to 22-year-old Han Ariel. Choi had hoped to represent South Korea at the Miss Universe pageant, but was instead awarded a prize in a qualifying heat.
