South African ambassador expelled from US welcomed home with support

Ebrahim Rasool, the South African ambassador, was expelled from the United States by the Trump administration and declared persona non grata. Rasool and his wife, Rosieda, returned home to a welcoming crowd, who sang songs in his praise. Upon arrival, Rasool expressed defiance towards the decision, stating that a declaration of persona non grata is meant to humiliate.
