Several countries pull funding as UNRWA staff fired for suspected role in Oct. 7 attacks

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz called on UNRWA chief Philippe Lazzarini to resign. The agency said Friday it had fired several employees over unspecified Israeli accusations. Katz said the agency's operation in Gaza was on the verge of collapse. Several nations followed the U.S. in suspending funding for the agency after allegations that some of its staff were involved in the Oct. 7 attack.
