Seventeen people missing after tourist boat sinks in Red Sea
A tourist yacht named Sea Story sank off the coast of Marsa Alam in Egypt on Monday. The incident occurred in the Red Sea and was attributed to warnings of rough seas. At the time of the incident, the vessel was carrying 45 people, including 31 tourists of varying nationalities and 14 crew members. Despite a massive rescue operation, at least 17 people are missing and presumed dead, while 28 people have been rescued. The rescued individuals were taken to receive medical treatment, with some being airlifted. The British Foreign Office has confirmed that they are providing consular support to a number of British nationals who were on board the yacht.
