Russians queue outside polling stations in apparent protest to Putin
There were unexpectedly long lines at some polling stations in Russia around 12pm local time on Sunday.
Russian citizens appeared to be responding to opposition calls for dissatisfaction by showing up en masse at midday. One woman expressed her frustration by stating, "We don't have any other options." Russian opposition leader Aleksei A. Navalny had encouraged supporters to attend polling stations as a form of protest.
