Russia says cargo vessel explosion was "terrorist attack"

The Ursa Major, a Russian-owned ship, sank in the Mediterranean Sea while sailing through international waters between Spain and Algeria. The sinking was attributed to three consecutive explosions on the starboard side, according to the ship's owner, Oboronlogistika. Oboronlogistika described the incident as a "terrorist act", while Ukrainian intelligence had previously claimed that the ship was part of a group of sanctioned vessels.
