Russia puts US-Russian dual citizen on trial for alleged treason over Ukraine charity donation

Ksenia Karelina, a Russian-American woman, was detained by police in Yekaterinburg in late January and is currently facing charges of treason. According to prosecutors, Karelina "proactively transferred funds" to a Ukrainian organization, with her boyfriend claiming she made a single donation of approximately $50. If convicted, Karelina faces up to 20 years in prison.
