Russia-Ukraine War
Russia claims to repel major Ukrainian drone strikes, reports killing 234 fighters
In recent developments regarding the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia, Ukrainian long-range drones reportedly attacked two oil facilities deep inside Russian territory, according to various officials. The incidents, claimed by Russian opponents of the Kremlin, have unnerved the border region and weakened President Vladimir Putin's argument that life in Russia has remained unaffected by the war.
However, it should be noted that there was no reported damage or casualties at the site where the debris fell. Emergency services are currently working at the scene. The governor of the Voronezh region expressed concern about the potential danger of further Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) attacks, as over 30 drones were detected and destroyed by air defense systems in the region overnight. An additional drone was downed on its approach to an oil refinery in the Leningrad region.
