Russia accused of jamming signals on UK defense minister's plane

There have been reports that Russia allegedly jammed the GPS and satellite signals of a Royal Air Force (RAF) aircraft carrying U.K. Defense Secretary Grant Shapps as it traversed airspace above Kaliningrad, Russian territory between Poland and Lithuania. According to various sources, the incident occurred on Wednesday evening while Shapps was returning from Poland. The GPS signal was interfered with for approximately 30 minutes during the flight near Kaliningrad on the Baltic Sea. Mobile phone connectivity was also disrupted during this time. British defense spokespersons have confirmed the incident and described it as a "wildly irresponsible" act of electronic warfare.
