Russia Expels Six British Diplomats Accused of Espionage and Subversive Activities
The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has accused six British diplomats of spying and subversive activities, citing "documentary" proof of their involvement in coordinating an escalation of the international political and military situation. The FSB claims that the diplomats were dispatched by the UK Foreign Office's Eastern Europe and Central Asia department, with the goal of inflicting a "strategic defeat". The move comes after the Metropolitan Police charged a group of British men with planning an arson attack against Ukrainian-linked businesses on behalf of the Russian state. The FSB has revoked the accreditation of the six diplomats, effectively expelling them from Russia. However, it is worth noting that the British Foreign Ministry has not commented on the allegations, and the exact nature of the diplomats' activities remains unclear.
We are unapologetic about protecting our national interests.
We don't seek any conflict with Russia. That's not our intention in the slightest. But they started this conflict, and Ukraine's got a right to self-defense.
Missiles that hit these civilian targets are fired from bomber aircraft from over the territory of Russia. These bombers take off from airfields on Russia's territory.
The English did not take our hints about the need to stop this practice (of carrying out intelligence activities inside Russia), so we decided to expel these six to begin with.
It's a classical British spy. It's fun watching him, but it can't be tolerated any further.
It is extremely clear, unambiguous and does not allow for any double readings. We have no doubt that this statement has reached its addressees.
The British embassy has largely flouted the limits set by the Vienna Convention.
They (NATO personnel) determine which cities in our country will be attacked, coordinate military actions and give orders. NATO has become a participant in military actions in Ukraine. They are waging war on our country.
We've now seen this action of Russia acquiring ballistic missiles from Iran, which will further empower their aggression in Ukraine, so if anyone is taking escalatory action, it would appear to be Mr. Putin and Russia.
