Ruben Amorim appointed as new Manchester United manager on a 2-and-a-half-year deal
Ruben Amorim has been appointed as the new head coach of Manchester United, succeeding Erik ten Hag. The 39-year-old Portuguese coach has signed a contract until June 2027, with an option to extend by a further year. According to Manchester United, Amorim is "one of the most exciting and highly rated young coaches in European football". He joins the club pending work visa requirements. In his previous role at Sporting, Amorim led the team to its first Portuguese league title in 19 years during his first full season in charge.
