Roman Dodecahedron Discovery
Roman Archaeologists Baffled by Discovery of 12-Sided Relic
Roman dodecahedrons have been discovered in Europe since the 17th century, but experts remain uncertain about their purpose or meaning. One recently unearthed example, found by amateur archaeologists in England, is one of the largest ever discovered and dates back approximately 1,700 years. This particular piece measures 8 centimeters across and features 12 holes of varying sizes. While there are only 33 known dodecahedrons in Roman Britain, and around 130 worldwide, their significance remains unclear.
