Rodrigo Bentancur receives seven-match ban for racist remark against Tottenham's Son Heung-min

Rodrigo Bentancur, a Uruguayan footballer, has been found guilty of making a racist remark about South Korean people, specifically targeting his Tottenham Hotspur team-mate Son Heung-min. Bentancur has been banned for seven matches, which applies to domestic games, and will therefore miss Tottenham's next six Premier League fixtures. In addition to the ban, he has also been fined around $126,000 (approximately £100,000).
