Flight MH370
Relatives of MH370 passengers call for new search 10 years after disappearance
Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 disappeared on March 8, 2014, with 239 people on board, most of whom were Chinese. The Boeing 777 jet carrying 12 Malaysian crew members and 227 passengers vanished from air traffic radar during a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. Despite the most extensive search in aviation history, the cause of the disappearance and the location of the plane remain unknown.
Recently, Transportation Minister Anthony Loke announced that Ocean Infinity has proposed a new "no find, no fee" basis to scour the seabeds for the missing plane. If the evidence is credible, Loke plans to seek Cabinet approval to sign a new contract for this search operation. The fate of MH370 has never been resolved, and families of the passengers have called for a renewed search effort.
