Rapper Sean Combs to Face Trial in May 2025 on Sex Trafficking Charges

Sean Combs, also known as Diddy, is set to go on trial in May 2025 for racketeering and sex trafficking charges. He was indicted on three criminal counts last month, alleging that he sexually abused women. The government claims to have several terabytes of electronic evidence, including cellphones, laptops, and cloud accounts. The defense, however, suggests that the government leaked a video showing Diddy assaulting a woman, which they plan to request be barred from the trial. A prosecutor has pushed back against defense claims, stating that the defense is trying to exclude a "damning piece of evidence". Diddy will remain incarcerated until his trial, and his lawyers plan to request a trial date in April or May 2025.
