Prabowo Subianto Confirmed as New President of Indonesia

Prabowo Subianto has been officially declared as the winner of the Indonesian presidential election by the elections commission. He secured 58.6% of the votes in the third-largest democracy in the world. His vice presidential running mate is the eldest son of outgoing leader Joko Widodo. Prabowo had previously announced his victory based on unofficial counts that showed him leading with a majority. In contrast, Anies Baswedan received 24.9% of the votes, and Ganjar Pranowo got 16.5%. Election disputes in Indonesia can be brought before the Constitutional Court.
