Pope Urges Ukraine to Pursue Negotiations for White Flag Ceasefire

In a series of recent statements, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and Pope Francis have expressed contrasting views regarding the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia. Kuleba reaffirmed Ukraine's commitment to its national flag, stating, "Our flag is yellow and blue. This is the flag with which we live, die, and win. We will never raise any other flag". In contrast, Pope Francis called on Kyiv to have "the courage to raise the white flag" in an attempt to negotiate a ceasefire.
