Pope Francis undergoes hospital examination due to flu symptoms

Pope Francis, 87, underwent diagnostic tests at Gemelli Hospital in Rome after experiencing flu-like symptoms. He has previously had similar checks at Tiber Island hospital in November 2022 following another bout with the flu. The pope has reduced his schedule due to ill health in recent years. According to different reports, the tests included a CT scan. Francis cancelled appointments on Saturday and Monday due to his influenza.
