Matthew Livelsberger, a 37-year-old member of the Green Beret forces, rented a Tesla Cybertruck that exploded outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas on New Year's Day. The explosion also injured seven people. An investigation revealed that Livelsberger had a gunshot wound to the head and a handgun was found at his feet. The coroner's office suggested that Livelsberger died by suicide before the blast. However, authorities are still investigating the cause of the explosion. The Cybertruck was filled with fuel canisters and firework mortars, which may have contributed to the blast.
FBI Denver personnel and specialized teams will be on-site for several hours. This activity is related to the explosion in Las Vegas on Wednesday.
It's not lost on us that it's in front of the Trump building, that it's a Tesla vehicle, but we don't have information at this point that definitively tells us or suggests it was because of this particular ideology.

We are following up on all potential leads and not ruling everything out.
I'm comfortable calling it a suicide with a bombing that occurred immediately after.
We don't believe there's any further threat from this subject or anybody associated to him here in Las Vegas.
I just don't think it was done as well as he was expecting it to be done.
The individual had sustained a gunshot wound to the head prior to the detonation of the vehicle. One of the handguns was found at his feet inside of the vehicle...
The level of sophistication is not what we would expect from an individual with this type of military experience.
The evil knuckleheads picked the wrong vehicle for a terrorist attack.
All vehicle telemetry was positive at the time of the explosion.
