Peruvian fisherman rescued after 95 days lost at sea

Máximo Napa Castro, a 61-year-old Peruvian fisherman, was rescued after being lost at sea for 95 days. He departed from Marcona on December 7 but became disoriented due to bad weather and drifted away from his course. Castro was eventually spotted by an Ecuadorian fishing boat in northern Peru, where he was found severely dehydrated. He survived for nearly three months by eating cockroaches, birds, and a turtle, and was taken on board the Ecuadorian vessel for medical treatment.
