Paris Paralympics Flame Lit, Begins Journey from England to France

The Paralympic flame was lit by British Paralympians Helene Raynsford and Gregor Ewan in Stoke Mandeville. The flame will be transported to France under the English Channel for a four-day relay, covering a route from the Atlantic Ocean shores to the Mediterranean beaches, passing through mountains in the Pyrenees and the Alps. The journey will conclude in Paris on Wednesday during the Paralympics opening ceremony.
