Oppenheimer wins big at BAFTAs with awards for Best Picture, Director and Actor

The BAFTAs (British Academy Film Awards) were held on Sunday, where "Oppenheimer," a three-hour epic about the making of the atomic bomb during World War Two, was the big winner with a total of six awards. Cillian Murphy won the leading actor award for his role as physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer. Emma Stone received the leading actress award for her performance in the gothic comedy "Poor Things," which also won five prizes. Christopher Nolan's direction of "Oppenheimer" and the film's editing, cinematography, original score were also recognized with awards. It was predicted that "Oppenheimer" could surpass the record nine awards won by "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid," but it fell short with a total of six wins.
