OpenAI Pursues $40 Billion Fundraising Round

OpenAI is reportedly seeking to raise US$40 billion in a fresh funding round, which would value the company at a staggering US$340 billion. This valuation is significantly higher than the company's last valuation of US$157 billion in October. Japan's SoftBank is leading the investment round and is expected to invest between US$15 billion to US$25 billion, which would make it OpenAI's biggest financial backer.
