Ohio voters reject Republican proposal that would have made it harder to protect abortion rights in state constitution

Issue 1 would have made it harder to pass amendments to the state constitution. Supporters said it would protect the state's foundational document from outside interest groups. Issue 1 was on the November ballot guaranteeing abortion rights.
