Novak Djokovic receives on-air apology from Australian TV presenter over remarks

Tony Jones, a sports presenter for Channel Nine, made comments on air that were perceived as insulting and mocking towards Novak Djokovic, a 37-year-old tennis great, and a large group of Serbian supporters. In response, Djokovic declined to participate in the customary on-court interview following his straight-sets victory over Jiri Lehecka at the Australian Open. Jones later apologized for his comments, both on air and in a personal apology to Djokovic, stating that he had already sent the apology on Saturday.
