North Korea fires several ballistic missiles into the sea as South Korea begins annual drills with the US

North Korea has recently conducted several missile tests in response to joint military drills between South Korea and the United States. These drills, known as Freedom Shield, are held annually and involve large-scale military exercises between the two countries.
