North Korea fires ballistic missile during Blinken visit to South Korea

North Korea launched a ballistic missile towards the East Sea on the day of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken's visit to Seoul. The missile flew approximately 1,100km before landing in waters between the Korean Peninsula and Japan. This launch is seen as a continuation of North Korea's increased weapons testing. South Korea and the US have condemned the launch, with Blinken calling it "another violation of multiple UN Security Council resolutions." North Korea has recently vowed to step up its anti-United States policies.
