Nine people injured in a shooting at a Michigan splash pad, including an 8-year-old in critical condition

A mass shooting occurred at a splash pad in a Detroit suburb, leaving multiple individuals injured. The incident involved an eight-year-old boy who was shot in the head and is currently in critical condition. His mother was also wounded in the abdomen and leg, while his brother sustained a leg wound and is in stable condition. Additionally, several other people were injured, including two young children and their mother. According to authorities, the suspect was tracked to a nearby home where he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. A handgun and three empty magazines were recovered at the scene. Initially, reports suggested that up to 10 people might have been wounded, but this number was later lowered after contacting local hospitals.
