Niger's junta gives French ambassador 48 hours to leave the country
France says the "putschists have no authority" to order such an expulsion. France opposes July's coup, saying ousted President Mohammed Bazoum must be returned to office. Niger's military government also authorised troops from neighbouring Mali and Burkina Faso to come to its defence.
