Netherlands Forms Hard-Right Coalition with Former Spy Chief as Prime Minister

The likely candidate to succeed him is Dick Schoof, a 67-year-old former head of the Dutch spy agency and counterterrorism office, who currently serves as the top civil servant at the Ministry of Security and Justice. However, it appears that Schoof may not be the only contender for the position, as anti-Islam populist Geert Wilders has reached a coalition deal with three other parties to form a new government. According to the 25-page agreement, Wilders' Freedom Party will remain in parliament but not join the cabinet.
