NBA Legend Jerry West Dies at 86

Jerry West, nicknamed "Mr. Clutch" for his clutch performances on the court, passed away at the age of 86 on June 12th. He played for the Los Angeles Lakers from 1960 to 1974 and won an NBA title in 1972. The NBA logo, which features a silhouette of West dribbling a basketball, was created in 1969. West was selected to the Basketball Hall of Fame three times, with his third enshrinement set for later this year. He is also remembered as a successful executive and competitor, earning praise from NBA Commissioner Adam Silver who described him as a "basketball genius" and a defining figure in the league for over 60 years.
