Mysterious Monkey Deaths at Hong Kong Zoo Claim Nine Lives

In a recent incident at Hong Kong's oldest zoo, nine monkeys have died in a two-day period, including three members of a critically endangered species. The deceased animals include De Brazza's monkeys, a common squirrel monkey, cotton-top tamarins, and white-faced sakis. The cause of death is currently unknown, with possible causes including a virus or other infection. Post-mortem examinations are being conducted to determine the cause of death. In response to the incident, the mammals section of the zoo will be closed for disinfection and cleaning from Monday.
