Moscow hits Kyiv in retaliation for Ukraine's mass drone attack

On Monday, a series of explosions occurred in Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital, as a result of a Russian barrage of drones and cruise missiles. Debris from intercepted missiles and drones fell in various districts of the city, injuring at least one person. The attack is believed to be a retaliation for a mass drone attack by Ukraine the previous day. Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Ukraine's Kursk assault would not hinder Russian forces' advancement in eastern Ukraine. The attack marks the third major assault by Russia on Ukraine in a week.
