Moroccan King Advises Citizens Against Slaughtering Animals for Eid al-Adha Due to Drought Conditions

King Mohammed VI of Morocco has requested that his countrymen refrain from slaughtering livestock, specifically sheep, during the upcoming Eid al-Adha festivities. The decision is attributed to the ongoing economic hardship and climate crisis in the country. The drought has led to a decline in the country's cattle and sheep herds, with a 38% reduction since the last census nine years ago.
