Modi Sworn In for Third Term as Indian Prime Minister

Narendra Modi, the 73-year-old Hindu nationalist leader, has been sworn in for a rare third term as Prime Minister of India. This development comes after his Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) failed to secure a majority to govern on its own in the recent general election. Instead, the party had to form a coalition with other parties to stay in power. Modi's swearing-in ceremony took place at Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official residence of the Indian president, and was attended by two BJP heavyweights, Rajnath Singh and Amit Shah. This marks Modi's return to power, making him only the second Indian prime minister to win three consecutive terms.
