A series of severe weather events has led to widespread flooding and infrastructure damage across the Midwestern United States. In South Dakota, a bridge connecting North Sioux City with Iowa collapsed on Sunday due to truss failure, prompting its owner to halt operations as a precautionary measure. The flooding has also affected neighboring states, including Nebraska, Minnesota, and Iowa, where Governor Kim Reynolds declared a disaster in 21 counties.
