Middle East Crisis: Paris to Host Gaza Hostage Negotiations

On Friday, senior officials from Israel, Qatar, the United States, and Egypt will meet in Paris with the aim of advancing a cease-fire agreement and releasing hostages. The participants include CIA Director William Burns, Qatar's Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Egyptian intelligence chief Abbas Kamel, and Israel's Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. Gallant confirmed that Israel's hostage negotiators are still alive. Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Palestinian militant group Hamas, was in Egypt earlier this week.
