Social Media
Meta to hide posts about suicide, eating disorders from teens' Instagram and Facebook feeds
Meta is making two major changes to its policy as it faces increased pressure to make its social media platforms safer for children. Teenage users will no longer see posts from others discussing their struggles with thoughts of self-harm or suicide. Anyone under the age of 18 will also be placed in the most restrictive content control settings on Instagram and Facebook.
