Mass grave holds remains of at least 65 migrants in Libya, UN agency reports

A mass grave containing at least 65 bodies has been discovered in South-west Libya. The International Organization for Migration (IOM) expressed shock and alarm over the discovery, stating that the circumstances of the deaths are unknown but believed to have occurred during the process of migrants being smuggled through the desert. The IOM is saddened by the loss of lives and has called for increased action to safeguard and protect migrants. The bodies were found in the southwest of Libya, and the IOM urges Libyan authorities to ensure a dignified recovery.
